Ambitions 

I’ve taught foundation and graduate level courses at various institutions. As a visual artist I’ve studied for many years as a painter and sculptor, and I am interested in discovering new alternative approaches, materials and techniques that I can include in my teaching practice.

Teaching Skills 

  
• Sensitive to students developmental and individual needs. At Hunakai Studio, helped students develop more dynamic portfolios for college applications.
• Strong skills in multi-media applications, Encaustic painting, all Water based media, paper cutting, plaster, plastics, oil painting, some digital media, photographing art, website design and video production, Clay Modeling, Silicone Mold-making, Casting, many forms of Sculpture, Assemblage with repurposed materials, Wood construction,
• Extensive knowledge about art history and recent developments in contemporary art. I have led artist talks and lectures for public presentations.
• Strong organizational skills. Help create a community art collective called SNAC Southern New England Artist Community
Excellent verbal and written skills. Frequently been awarded group shows for written proposals and artist calls.
 • Active in the Art Community - Currently serving on a Gallery Committee at the Trescott Street Gallery in Taunton. Curated and organized multiple art shows.
• Caring and generous person – donated time and art to many projects. Most recently April 18, Bridgewater Library Fundraiser. In 2014 I led an instructional Paint Night at The Edgewood Club in Raynham, Donated artworks to auctions at the Franklin School of Performing Arts and Hunakai Studio Foxboro.

Other Types of Teaching 

USPTA/PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I’ve been coaching tennis for juniors and adults for 20+ years.  I’ve coached and captained multiple teams to championships including adult USTA teams and Bridgewater State university.
