"Manuel's Doors"  Aluminum, Acrylic, Chain 30"x120"    I built these make believe door ways to another dimension as a way to connect to my dad.   Some people believe that their loved ones who have passed away are still with them in spirit.   My father was a construction worker and when I build things I feel the closest to him.  I created a piece that honored his commitment to work and pretended to pick up on his ethereal frequency.   As they rotate, the doors open and close quickly reflecting light, at the same time the matte black paint absorbs 90% of light.
