"Manuel's Doors"  Aluminum, Acrylic, Chain 30"x120"   Belief systems are fascinating to me.   It would be nice to be able to channel a loved one who's no longer with us through a work of art. This work explores this notion.  These are cut and folded aluminum shapes hung with chain and painted with a deep matte black acrylic.   I built the shapes to rotate with a gentle wind and with motors.  They are intended to be door ways that rotate open and close reflecting and blocking light.
