"Always Support The Bottom"  Series of charcoal drawings, 40x45" mounted on foam and framed with aluminum pans
These pieces are inspired by the embossed writing found on the bottom of an ordinary aluminum baking pan.  ”Always Support The Bottom”  I thought about how the phrase reflected the often-overlooked foundations of our society, both literally and metaphorically.  I used the same baking pans that are familiar with our family dinners and holidays and created these works that examine some of the instability we all share with the closest people around us.
